Children - band aids instead of needles

Acupuncture for children: it’s quite understandable that the idea of 'needles' may initially keep you from choosing such a treatment. This is unnecessary, since there is an alternative treatment method using band aids – Serica therapy. 

Newborns and children up to about two years of age can be treated with a combination of acupuncture and Serica therapy. The energy system is pricked very briefly (acupuncture); then the spot is covered with a Serica band aid. This combination may be applied in case of complaints such as baby colic, problems with drinking, excessive crying, sleeping problems and general agitation. 

Children between three and seven years of age generally do not want to be pricked and are treated with band aids: Serica and/or Meridian Colour Therapy. From the age of seven or eight, children are also often treated with a combination of acupuncture and Serica therapy.

In case of treatment requests for children up to about seven years old, it may be advisable to treat the parent/caretaker, as well, in order to obtain an optimal result.
