Consultation - practical information

A consultation takes 50 to 60 minutes. During the initial consultation the emphasis will be on our discussion; the treatment time (acupuncture) will be relatively short. You may consider the treatment during the initial consultation as your introduction to acupuncture.

It would be nice if you could bring your agenda so that we can make a follow-up appointment. That is the only thing you have to bring. The practice will provide you with clean towels and – if necessary – a blanket or heated towels each time you visit us. Follow-up consultations for adults and for children during which needles are inserted also take 50 to 60 minutes. In these cases the emphasis is on the acupuncture and possible additional treatment methods.

A brief consultation usually involves a follow-up consultation during which no needles are inserted, but band-aids are applied: Serica therapy or Meridian Colour Therapy. This will generally be the case for children up to about 7 years old.

An introduction (consultation without treatment) may be given in exceptional circumstances. Consultations are not available over the phone. Obviously you are invites  to inform by phone whether acupuncture is appropriate for your request for help.
